Toxic Materials

The life of the average artist is not known for its sense of security. Most will experience little money, fame or recognition. They may dream of these things, but what many artists should be yearning for more than anything is… health insurance. As chemist and certified industrial hygienist Michael McCann notes, artists like Goya and Eva Hesse likely suffered dire effects from the way they worked with their materials.
