Watercolor

The artist Stephen Dolmatch paints urban industrial landscapes in precise and gorgeous detail. He paints in watercolor, though he finds it far less forgiving than oil or acrylic paints. As we pore over John Singer Sargent‘s beautiful work “White Ships“, Dolmatch describes the challenges and happy accidents of painting in this tricky — and underappreciated — medium.  [Produced for PRI‘s “Studio 360“.]
