Richard Misrach’s “On the Beach”

Wall-sized color seascapes of water, sky, sand, and bathers make up Richard Misrach‘s series of photographs called “On the Beach“. Misrach might be the prototypical California artist — surfer, Berkeley alumnus, VW bus owner — but his photos are always more fraught than they look at first blush.  [Produced for PRI‘s “Studio 360“.]
