Anthropomorphism

Birds (don’t) do it. Bees (don’t) do it. Only human beings anthropomorphize, and most of us do it automatically. But artists — even those aiming for factual details such as “The Bees” author Laline Paull and “The Bats” filmmaker James Trainor — approach it with a completely different attitude than scientists like Alexandra Horowitz.  [Produced for PRI‘s “Studio 360“.]
